Bespoke Buttercream Cakes
Welcome to Mumbles Cakes and Bakes!
We are a team of two, specialising in bespoke buttercream cakes with a devoted attention to detail and passion for creating buttercream art. We are based in Mumbles, Swansea, a little village located in South Wales where small businesses are at the heart of the community. We pride ourselves on our personalised design service and work with our customers to create the perfect bakes for your special occasion. We are passionate about creating cakes which deserve centre-stage and make you smile, creating special moments that will stay with you forever.
Sophie's love for baking began during her career as a Primary School teacher in which baking was a way to de-stress in the evenings or at weekends. The journey began in our one-bed flat, baking for family and friends and storing a second fridge in our living room. Fast forward two years, a career change, a move to a house and a giant fridge purchase, Mumbles Cakes and Bakes has become Sophie's dream job. Whilst Andy works full-time as a Research Engineer at the University, he also works for the business in the evenings and at weekends, becoming the face of deliveries and a point of contact for many of our local customers.

Bespoke Buttercream Cakes
Personally designed and created by Sophie, our bespoke buttercream cakes add a personal touch to any occasion. With four layers of our freshly baked sponge, coated in white chocolate ganache and finished with our signature buttercream, our bespoke cakes are a real showstopper for any event.

Whether you have a specific theme in mind, or you're looking for something simple and elegant, we will work with you to create a bespoke design that is tailored to your occasion.
We know that the taste is just as important as the looks, so our cakes are all made fresh to order and available in a range of flavours - there's something for everyone!

Number Cakes
Number cakes are the perfect way to celebrate those big milestone birthdays. As with our round cakes, our number cakes are also created with bespoke colour schemes and themes in mind, and are always personalised with a name and decorations.
Fresh vanilla sponge sandwiched with buttercream and a filling of your choice, topped with beautifully piped buttercream and personalised toppings, these cakes make a perfect party centrepiece.

Lambeth Cakes
Beautifully piped buttercream decorating three layers of our freshly baked sponge available in a selection of flavours. These cakes make a beautiful centrepiece for your special occasion.

Available in a range of simple and elegant styles and colours, all our lambeth cakes comes with a personalised acrylic topper, a colour-match cake board and wrapped in a display box, making them the perfect gift.
We know that the taste is just as important as the looks, so our cakes are all made fresh to order and available in a range of flavours - there's something for everyone!

Cupcakes
Available in boxes of 6 or 12, each cupcake set is created with beautifully piped buttercream sitting on top of a light, fluffy sponge.

We will work with you to create a bespoke set of cupcakes in a range of colours or themes and personalised to the occasion. They are great as an extra to accompany your showstopper cake, or as a little treat on their own.

Iced Cookies
Our fondant topped shortbread biscuits make a beautiful, personalised edible gift or sweet treat with a cup of tea at the end of the party.
​
We create bespoke sets of biscuits for all occasions and no detail goes unnoticed. They are available in a range of sizes and shapes to suit all themes.
Cakesicles, Dougnuts and Treat Boxes
We also offer a range of other baked treats including Belgian chocolate-coated cakesicles and cake hearts and fluffy baked doughnuts.

These can be purchased in boxes of 6 or 12 as extras to your bespoke cake, or on their own as an alternative option for a smaller treat.
